- Role Overview: As a Principal Consultant based in Noida with 7-12 years of experience in India, you will specialize as a Cloud Storage Tiering Specialist within AWS, Azure, or other cloud environments. Your role will involve driving the analysis, design, and optimization of cloud storage tiering strategies. Review existing storage allocations, identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities, align improvement strategies with key stakeholders, and lead the execution of tier migration initiatives. Your technical expertise in cloud storage technologies, cost management, and performance optimization will play a crucial role in ensuring effective use of cloud storage resources while supporting business continuity and scalability. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct a detailed analysis of the existing cloud storage architecture, usage patterns, and tier configurations to establish a clear understanding of current performance, costs, and utilization. - Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud architects, and finance teams to develop and refine cloud storage tiering policies that balance cost, performance, and availability requirements. - Identify opportunities for migrating data between storage tiers based on access patterns, performance needs, and cost efficiency. - Design detailed migration plans and coordinate with various teams to execute storage tier migration projects with minimal disruption. - Continuously monitor storage usage and costs, leveraging cloud-native tools and third-party solutions to optimize configurations and resource allocation. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of storage tiering strategies, migration processes, governance policies, and results metrics to support transparency and continuous improvement. - Ensure storage tiering adheres to organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
