Job Description
- Role Overview: As a Electrical Design Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will have a challenging and forward-thinking role. You will be responsible for preparing Key SLD, Protection & Metering SLD, conducting sizing calculations, equipment selection, generating design basis reports, specifying electrical systems, developing cable schedules and sizing, performing lighting calculations, and creating layouts for various electrical components. You should be self-motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable to working well under tight schedules in a fast-paced team environment. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare Key SLD, Protection & Metering SLD - Conduct sizing calculations and equipment selection for MV/LV/DC/Battery/Battery charger/UPS systems - Generate design basis reports and specify electrical systems, along with vendor selection and coordination - Develop cable schedules and sizing - Perform lighting calculations and grounding studies - Create layouts for Cable raceway, Grounding, Lighting, Lightning Protection, and Fire Detection - Demonstrate the ability to work efficiently and effectively while managing multiple tasks Qualifications Required: - Graduate or Postgraduate in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Electrical design for oil and Gas / Power / Infrastructure/ AC Substations / HVDC substations - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and willingness to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams - Solid technical knowledge and a deep understanding of international and Indian standards - Proficiency in Substation Primary and Secondary Electrical design interfaces - Hands-on experience in design and engineering for LV/MV distribution systems for Substations (AIS/GIS)/ HVDC - Proficiency in tools such as ETAP, Autodesk-Revit, Aveva-E3D, Dialux-Evo - Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS-Office Additional Company Details: Siemens Energy is dedicated to assisting customers in addressing the world's most critical energy challenges.
