Job Description
We are seeking a skilled MS SQL Database Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure database solutions. The role involves working closely with application developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to optimize database performance, ensure data integrity, and support business processes.
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in: Development, maintenance, and optimization of SQL queries in MS SQL / any open-source DB.
Location - Delhi
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, tables, views, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, reporting, and application support.
- Implement database solutions, including schema design, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.
- Support ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data migration and integration.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
- Maintain database security, backups, and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with application developers to integrate database logic with applications.
- Prepare technical documentation including database design, data flow diagrams, and user guides.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and best practices for database management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience (XY years) as a Database Developer with MS SQL Server.
- Strong knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and views.
- Experience with database design, normalization, and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with ETL tools (SSIS or equivalent).
- Understanding of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or other reporting tools.
- Hands-on experience with performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
- Knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery strategies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good to Have:
- Experience with Azure SQL / Cloud databases.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of Power BI or other visualization tools.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.
