Validation Engineer @ Taal Tech India

Job Description

SKILL / TOOLS KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED Embedded C/C++, Python.
Ability to read and understand the schematics.
Experience in any of (BLE, Wifi, BACnet, DALI)
MUST REQUIRED SKILLS Manual Testing for embedded Product.
Should be very good in documentation Written English, Excel management and PPTs
CANDIDATE REQUIRED TO JOIN Within 30 days

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Planning

• Create comprehensive test plans for embedded products (firmware, hardware, and mobile apps) in the industrial automation domain.
• Define test objectives, scope, and required resources based on product specifications.

2. Test Execution

• Execute manual test cases according to the test plan.
• Perform functional, connectivity (BLE, Wi-Fi, BACnet, DALI), and interoperability testing.
• Reproduce and document defects for further analysis by development teams.

3. Embedded Systems Understanding

• Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to support effective testing and debugging.
• Assist in correlating firmware and hardware behavior during validation.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain test case results, logs, and defect reports in Excel or other tracking tools.
• Prepare clear presentations (PPTs) summarizing test results, observations, and recommendations.
• Ensure high-quality written documentation in English.

5. Collaboration

• Coordinate with design, development, and delivery teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Support senior engineers in troubleshooting complex problems.

6. Tool and Script Support

• Utilize programming knowledge (Embedded C/C++, Python) to support testing or basic automation as needed.
• Use test tools like Selenium for mobile or web components, if applicable.

7. Continuous Learning

• Keep up-to-date with industrial automation protocols and emerging IoT technologies.
• Learn new test methodologies and product features to improve validation coverage.
