Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for design and develop Business Entity models, hierarchies, and relationships in Informatica MDM SaaS
- Refactor and configure match rules, merge logic, and survivorship policies for golden record creation
- Implement and optimize data quality rules for cleansing, standardization, and validation
- Integrate Address Doctor and other DaaS services via Cloud Application Integration (CAI)
- Build and maintain data pipelines for batch and real-time integration with enterprise systems and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Data Lake)
- Perform data profiling, deduplication, and enrichment activities
- Lead the migration of master data from Informatica MDM on-premises to Informatica MDM SaaS, ensuring data integrity, completeness, and continuity
- Collaborate with data architects, stewards, and business stakeholders to align MDM with governance policies
- Conduct post-migration validation to ensure accuracy and completeness of master data
- Support cutover planning, go-live readiness, and post-deployment stabilization
- Mentor junior Data Engineers and contribute to best practices and technical documentation
Preferred candidate profile
- 8+ years of technical experience in Master Data Management with 5+ years of specialized experience with Informatica MDM (On-premises) and 3+ years in Informatica SaaS MDM or Informatica MDM modernization or cloud migration programs completed at least 2-3 full life cycle
- Expertise in Informatica MDM (Hub Console, IDD, BES, SIF APIs, Customization)
- Proven expertise in Informatica SaaS including Business Entity Services, Business 360 Console, Relationship 360, and Reference 360
- Strong understanding of Customer, Product, Supplier, Location, and Material domains.
- Demonstrated success in end-to-end MDM migrations from on-premises to SaaS, including data model refactoring, match/merge rules, survivorship logic, and stewardship workflows
- Strong command of data quality frameworks, including rule design, profiling, cleansing, and enrichment using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ)
- Experience integrating Cloud Application Integration (CAI) with external services like Address Doctor for real-time validation
- Proven track record in migrating on-prem MDM to SaaS, including:
- Designing migration playbooks/runbooks
- Automating entity model generation and metadata mapping
- Ensuring data integrity, security, and minimal downtime
- Source-to-target mapping
- Data profiling and cleansing
- Transformation logic and survivorship alignment
- Incremental and bulk load strategies
- Experience with zero-downtime cutover planning, rollback strategies, and parallel run validations
- Proficiency in SQL, Informatica - CDI/ CDQ/ CAI, and metadata management.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms - Azure and enterprise integration patterns
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value
