Job Description
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) testing, particularly focusing on SQL, ETL testing, BigQuery, and Data Warehousing Concepts. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our data processes and systems.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to validate ETL processes.
- Conduct SQL-based testing to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with the development team to understand data processing workflows and identify testing requirements.
- Design and implement test cases for BigQuery databases and data warehousing systems.
- Perform regression testing to validate ongoing system changes and updates.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving data quality and testing processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective testing strategies.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in GCP testing. -Identify and automate testing of must have validations. - Participate in Go-Live activities and provide QA Approvals for business releases.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on GCP testing.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and testing.
- Extensive experience in ETL testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data transformations.
- In-depth knowledge of BigQuery and Data Warehousing Concepts. - Strong knowledge on testing Fact/Dimension Model & Historical / Incremental Data Flow.
- Ability to design and execute comprehensive test cases for data processes.
- Familiarity with testing tools and methodologies in a GCP environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Continuous learner with the ability to adapt to evolving technologies.Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
