SAP Functional Tester @ Leading Client

Job Purpose:
To ensure that SAP functional modules meet business requirements through systematic testing. Validate that configured/customised features, master data, integrations work correctly; catch defects early; ensure high quality before go-live and post-go-live.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications to understand what needs to be tested.
• Create test plans, test cases, test data for SAP functional modules (e.g. FI, CO, MM, SD, HCM etc.).
• Execute different types of testing: functional, integration, regression, user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Perform end-to-end business process tests involving multiple modules and third-party integrations.
• Validate data migration, report output (standard/custom), master data setups, configuration correctness.
• Log defects, track them, follow up to closure; retest fixes.
• Document test results, status reports; ensure traceability from requirements test cases defects.
• Work closely with functional consultants, developers, business users to clarify issues, confirm behavior.
• Participate in cut-over activities and post go-live support (hypercare).
• Ensure adherence to QA / test standards / processes; contribute to improving test practices.
