Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Quality Analyst who will take ownership of end-to-end QA strategy, mentor a team, and ensure flawless delivery of web and mobile applications. This role requires very strong command over manual testing, test reporting, Agile methodologies, and RCA practices, along with exposure to AI in QA. The right candidate will be a quality champion, stakeholder communicator, and process improver.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead QA strategy and execution for multiple concurrent projects.
- Mentor, manage, and upskill a team of 45 QA professionals.
- Define and maintain test strategy, test plans, test cases, and test reporting templates.
- Perform manual testing, regression testing, and exploratory testing across applications.
- Track, analyze, and close defects using JIRA.
- Conduct RCA sessions to reduce recurring defects and improve quality outcomes.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives, stand-ups).
- Drive continuous QA process improvements and explore AI-enabled testing opportunities.
- Communicate with clients, product managers, and global stakeholders to ensure alignment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors in Computer Science/IT/Software Engineering (Masters preferred).
- 69 years of experience in software QA (Manual Testing Web/Mobile).
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum, SDLC, STLC, Defect Life Cycle.
- Expertise in test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
- Hands-on experience in functional, regression, exploratory testing.
- Strong communication & leadership skills to manage teams and client interactions.
- Ability to prepare and present test summary reports, execution dashboards, defect metrics (Defect Density, Defect Leakage, Defect Removal Efficiency), Test Coverage reports, and Sprint QA status reports for stakeholders and clients
Certifications
- ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation/Advanced) Mandatory.
- Preferred: CSM/PSM (Agile Certification) and/or AI-related QA certifications.
Good to Have
- Exposure to test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- API testing knowledge (Postman, Rest API).
- Hands-on with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Familiarity with security testing tools (Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, performance testing, & cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
