Job Description
- Role Overview: As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks for web and API applications. You will convert manual test cases into automated test scripts and perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing using automation tools. Collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and QA team members, you will identify test scenarios and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Additionally, you will integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, debug test failures, analyze root causes, and report defects in defect tracking tools. Your role will also involve optimizing test execution for speed and reliability, mentoring junior testers, and contributing to test strategy and documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for web and API applications - Convert manual test cases into automated test scripts - Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing using automation tools - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to identify test scenarios - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) - Debug test failures, analyze root causes, and report defects in defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) - Optimize test execution for speed and reliability - Mentor junior testers and review automation scripts for best practices - Contribute to test strategy, test planning, and test documentation Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - 3 to 4 years of automation experience in software testing - Automation Tools/Frameworks: Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, Cucumber (BDD), Cypress, Playwright - Programming Languages: Strong in Java/Python/JavaScript - API Testing: REST Assured, Postman, SoapUI - CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions - Version Control: Git, Bitbucket - Build Tools: Maven, Gradle - Defect Tracking & Test Management: Jira, TestRail, Zephyr - Databases: SQL queries for test validation - Cloud/Containerization (Preferred): Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure/GCP testing exposure - Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test design, and SDLC - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology and participation in sprint ceremonies Additional Details of the Company: N/A,
