Job Description
Position Title: Sr. Software Engineer (.NET)
Experience Required: 5+ years
Education: Bachelors in Engineering / Master of Computer Applications / Master of Computer
Science (or related certifications). Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in Web
Development is desirable.
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer (.NET) with strong expertise in C#,
.NET Core, ASP.NET Core WebAPI, Angular 2+, and relational databases. The ideal
candidate will have a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC),
hands-on coding experience, and a proven track record of building scalable, secure, and
maintainable applications.
This role requires a technically strong individual who can also collaborate with global teams,
mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural discussions.
Work Mode
The role will be remote for the initial 612 months.
After this period, the company may require the candidate to work in a hybrid model
from Chandigarh, with 2 days per week onsite.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure applications using the .NET
technology stack.
Develop and consume RESTful Web APIs using ASP.NET Core.
Write clean, well-structured, testable, and maintainable code following best practices and
coding standards.
Collaborate with business teams and global IT teams to gather and analyze
requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
Participate in or lead architectural solution discussions and provide technical design
recommendations.
Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and support best
practices.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
Contribute to improving development processes, methodologies, and team performance.
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and
retrospectives.
Required Technical Skills
Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, and .NET frameworks.
Strong experience in ASP.NET Core WebAPI development.
Hands-on expertise in SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
Strong knowledge of Angular 2+ for building dynamic front-end applications.
Good understanding of Object-Oriented Design and design patterns.
Familiarity with microservices-based architecture.
Knowledge of web application security practices, including authentication,
authorization, and secure coding.
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Bonus Skills (Good to Have)
Experience with:
VB.NET, ASP.NET, DNN (DotNetNuke), SSRS, SharePoint, Crystal Reports
Oracle, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
Azure or AWS cloud services (App Services, Functions, Azure Service Bus,
Cosmos DB, etc.)
Experience with NoSQL databases.
Knowledge of data transfer protocols and methodologies.
Exposure to Windows desktop applications, Windows services, and Microsoft
Office VSTO Add-Ins.
Soft Skills & Competencies
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work in diverse teams.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities effectively.
Capable of identifying ambiguity in requirements and driving clarity.
Strong collaboration skills with business stakeholders and technical teams.
