Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer (4 - 8 years) with a strong background in ETL and AWS testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring our data solutions meet all quality standards and end-user requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to plan, document, and execute QA testing.Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze business and technical documentation, including BRDs, TDDs, Data Models, and Source-to-Target Mappings.
- Develop comprehensive test artifacts, including test plans, scenarios, data, and test cases.
- Maintain test cases and track defects using a test management system and Jira.
- Communicate test progress, reports, and roadblocks to the Test Lead and IT Project Manager.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for defects and collaborate with the development team on solutions.
- Follow best practices to maintain quality assurance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform manual and ad-hoc data queries and validation using AWS Athena.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated regression and smoke testing frameworks.
- Assess and identify manual test cases suitable for automation.
- Test reports and documentation for reporting applications and systems.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 4 - 8 years of overall QA experience, with at least 4 years focused on data, reporting, and dashboard testing.
- Expertise in ETL processes, Relational Database Design Methods, and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
- Strong proficiency in writing complex queries for data validation, preferably using AWS Athena.
- Proven experience writing test cases based on ETL specifications and Source-to-Target Mappings.
- Experience with automated regression testing in non-production environments.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodology.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the healthcare domain.
- Experience with a large-scale data warehouse project.
- Knowledge of QlikView or other dashboard testing tools.
