Role & responsibilities
Job Title: Automation Tester Robot Framework
Location: Gurgaon
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Automation Tester with hands-on experience in Robot Framework to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts, ensuring the quality of our applications, and supporting continuous integration and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Robot Framework.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and create test automation strategies.
- Execute automated test cases, analyze results, and report defects.
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Ensure reusability, scalability, and maintainability of automation frameworks.
- Perform regression testing and validate new features.
- Create and maintain documentation related to test automation, frameworks, and test plans.
- Actively participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, stand-ups).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 25 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation.
- Hands-on experience with Robot Framework (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of Python or other scripting languages used in Robot Framework.
- Experience in testing web applications, APIs, and mobile applications.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Good understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and agile processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Good to Have:
- Experience with other automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or Playwright.
- Knowledge of cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized environments.
- Basic knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
