Job Description
Role & responsibilities: :
- Deploy scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
- Manage Azure resources including VMs, storage accounts, networking, and identity services.
- Monitor cloud environments and optimize performance, cost, and security.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to support cloud-native applications.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
- Proactively monitor the health and performance of servers and virtual infrastructure using tools like:
- VMware vSphere/vCenter (for VMs and hosts)
- Dell OpenManage Enterprise (OME) & HPE iLO
- Windows Performance Monitor, Event Viewer
- Solarwinds & other related enterprise monitoring systems.
- Perform first-line investigation and diagnosis.
- Manage file and share permissions on Windows servers.
- Assist with the provision of new virtual machines (VMs) from pre-approved templates.
- Log cases with hardware vendors (e.g., Dell, HP) for failed components under warranty.
- Understanding of Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022) familiarity with core services, Event Viewer.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes on Azure).
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Understanding security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO, GDPR, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
