As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking - Connected Commerce/Proprietary Wallets group, you will play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable.
Job responsibilities
Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Demonstrated expertise and experience in key web technologies and their non-functional requirements. (MUST HAVE)
Familiarity with React, TypeScript, UI design systems, ADA compliance, and content management systems is highly desirable.
Experience with experimentation related to web data analytics, digital marketing, and other essential metrics.
Understanding of the enterprise web application design, build and overall deployment lifecycle, including tools such as Webpack and Rollup, as well as application/libraries version control.
Strong capability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams, including product, analytics, ADA, design, UX, and user research, to deliver impactful products.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Finance domain experience with United States Banking & Payments industry.
Knowledge and working experience on Card Network Payment, Fraud, Settlement.
