The Software Tester / Senior Software Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of software applications by designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers to deliver a stable and reliable product.
The incumbent will report to the Assistant General Manager. The incumbent will have to work as part of a multi-functional team, and this involves collaboration with the internal team and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and testing objectives.
Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for new and existing applications.
Perform various types of testing, including functional, usability, regression, and performance testing.
Accurately identify, document, and prioritise software defects and inconsistencies.
Work closely with developers to troubleshoot, verify, and validate bug fixes.
Create and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive bug reports and status updates.
Participate in design and requirement review meetings to provide QA-related input.
Stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in software testing.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and automation strategies.
