Job Description
Role & responsibilities :
As a Sr. Software Engineer (QA), We look towards you as an SME with very good understanding QA Test Automation Frameworks.
As part of Automation team, you will be responsible for ensuring high quality of next generation products and solutions.
1. Design, develop and maintain test suites, automation libraries and automation framework.
2. Create and manage automation project schedules with the team.
3. Build Design and test matrix documents required for each automation project.
4. Design and maintain test beds to ensure product quality
Collaboration with QA and SW teams under Agile Scrum model in all aspect of the automation features development, framework enhancements from requirement gathering till complete stable development through iterative test cycles.
Primary Skills:
- Good understanding and experience of various Test Frameworks (PyTest, Robot or Cucumber) .
- Expert level in one of the scripting language Python or TCL.
- Experience in software test planning, documentation and process improvement
- Experience working in QA with networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DPI, routing and switching).
- Experience of Performance, System testing, Manual testing and Automation testing.
- Developed test automation framework scripts using Python, Jinja2 , JSON, YAML.
- Hands on network programming (Socket, Server/client, TCPIP, L2 and L3 network protocols)
- Exposure to large scale distributed system testing
- Experience in functional testing in cloud technologies
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills
- Good familiarity with Linux (like) operating system.
- Proven experience in improving methods and metrics.
Good knowledge on Defect Tracking & Management Tools (JIRA)
Secondary skills:
- Experience with Cloud & virtualization technologies, for example AWS, Azure, ESXi, KVM, HyperV
- Working experience with Network Security feature is a plus.
- Working experience of Ansible or Terraform to manage cloud VMs is a plus.
- Exposure to rest API is plus.
- Exposure to Enterprise Networks Security, Network Appliances like Application Delivery Controllers (Load Balancers), Firewall solutions, Threat Protection Systems, CGN/LSN is a bonus.
