Job Description
About the Role:
- We are looking for a highly skilled SQL Server Developer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in designing,
- developing, optimizing, and maintaining SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background
- in writing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views, along with expertise in
- performance tuning and query optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Development & Maintenance
Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases to support business applications.
Write complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, user-defined functions, views, triggers, and table-valued functions.
Create and manage indexes, partitions, and schemas for performance optimization.
Implement data integrity, referential constraints, and best practices for database design.
Performance Optimization:
Analyze query execution plans and perform query tuning to improve performance.
Monitor database performance using tools like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and DMVs.
Identify and resolve database bottlenecks, deadlocks, and blocking issues.
Data Management & Integration:
Develop and maintain SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages for ETL processes.
Work with large datasets and handle data cleansing, transformations, and migrations.
Database Security & Backup:
Implement user roles, permissions, and data encryption for security.
Schedule and monitor database backups and recovery plans.
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery mechanisms are in place.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Work closely with application developers, business analysts, and QA teams to deliver robust solutions.
Prepare technical documentation for database designs, stored procedures, and deployment steps.
Participate in code reviews and enforce best coding practices.
