Mechanical Design Intern @ Aeron Systems

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities: -

1. CAD Modeling :

• Create and modify CAD models for parts of assemblies or subassemblies using software such as SolidWorks.
• Ensure that all models adhere to design specifications and standards.

2. Part Drawing Development:

• Generate detailed part drawings that include dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
• Ensure that part drawings are clear, accurate, and compliant with industry

standards.

3. Installation Drawing Preparation:

• Develop installation drawings that provide clear instructions for the assembly and installation of components.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure that installation drawings meet project requirements.

4. R&D Test Setups :

• Support the development of R&D test setups, including flight tests and car tests, by assisting in the design and assembly of test rigs.
• Collaborate with testing teams to ensure that setups are functional and meet testing requirements.

5. Qualification Test Setup :

• Assist in the design and preparation of qualification test setups, including fixtures and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Help ensure that all necessary components and materials are available for testing.

6. Research Project Contributions:

• Participate in research projects focused on material identification, component identification, and mechanism prototyping.
• Conduct literature reviews and assist in the evaluation of materials and components

for specific applications.

Qualifications and Skills: -

• Currently pursuing or passout a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Software Proficiency : Familiarity with SolidWorks and basic knowledge of simulation tools.
• Analytical Skills : Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
