Job Description
Job Title: AWS Tech Lead Cloud Transformation Service Line
Location: REMOTE
Experience: 6+ Years
Employment Type: Full-Time / Contract
Reports To: Cloud Transformation Technology Director
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Technical Lead to spearhead the design,
implementation, and modernization of cloud-native and hybrid solutions as part of a
strategic Cloud Transformation Program. The ideal candidate will possess deep
expertise in Amazon Web Services, cloud architecture, automation, and DevOps
practices. This role will serve as the technical anchor for project delivery and client
success.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the technical design and architecture of cloud-native and hybrid solutions
on AWS.
Drive end-to-end cloud migration or modernization of applications and services
from on-prem or other cloud platforms to AWS.
Collaborate with cloud architects, developers, infrastructure teams, and
business stakeholders to dene AWS adoption and transformation strategies.
Provide hands-on leadership in provisioning AWS infrastructure services,
including compute, networking, storage, security, and identity.
Dene and implement best practices for scalability, resiliency, performance
tuning, security hardening, and cost optimization on AWS.
Design and implement AI/ML-driven applications using AWS AI/ML services,
including Amazon SageMaker (ML model development and deployment),
Amazon Rekognition, Polly, Lex, Comprehend (for vision, speech, and NLP
workloads), Amazon Textract (document text extraction), Bedrock and Titan (for
generative AI and foundation models)
Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to enable intelligent
transformation initiatives.
Guide CI/CD pipeline setup, infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS
CloudFormation, or CDK, and implement DevSecOps practices.
Lead design/code reviews and provide mentoring to engineers and developers
across the cloud team.
Ensure AWS solutions comply with enterprise policies, regulatory requirements,
and security frameworks (CIS, NIST, etc.).
Support UAT, cutover, and go-live activities in collaboration with delivery and
operations teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across cloud workloads and integrated
systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications: 6+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 35 years in AWS cloud platform
leadership roles.
Proven experience in leading cloud transformation or migration programs on
AWS.
Strong expertise in
AWS Compute (EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS)
AWS Storage (S3, EBS, EFS, Glacier)
AWS Networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, Load Balancers, VPN,
WAF, Firewall)
AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), Secrets Manager, AWS
Organizations
AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Cong, and AWS Backup
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS
CloudFormation, or CDK
CI/CD pipeline experience with AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, GitHub
Actions, or Jenkins
Lift and shift Migration Tool experience on AWS Application Discovery Service
(ADS), AWS MGN (Application Migration Service), and AWS DMS (Database
Migration Service)
Integrate security controls such as SAST/DAST tools, dependency scanning,
and secrets detection into the CI/CD lifecycle.
Scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Familiarity with modern application architectures (microservices, containers,
serverless)
Understanding of ITIL processes and Agile/Scrum methodologies

AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Professional
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer -Professional
AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty
AWS Certified Security -Specialty
Soft Skills:
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to lead teams, resolve conicts, and drive technical decision-making
Collaborative, mentoring-oriented mindset with a focus on enablement and
knowledge sharing
