Job Description
Job Overview Senior Software Engineer
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Product Delivery Team. This role involves driving the development of new features and enhancements, with a strong understanding of our platform, tech stack, and engineering best practices. The ideal candidate will be capable of resolving complex system issues, contributing to architectural decisions, and taking ownership of production challenges.You will play a key role in sprint planning, story estimation, and task breakdown, while also mentoring junior engineers and participating in code reviews. A proactive mindset and a strong sense of ownership are essential.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test product features and enhancements independently
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues
- Collaborate with team leads during sprint planning and grooming to estimate stories and identify implementation details
- Monitor and optimize platform performance in production
- Lead and contribute to software architecture and technical discussions
- Prioritize development tasks and user stories
- Mentor junior engineers and support cross-functional collaboration
- Take ownership of production issues and drive timely resolutions
- Conduct thorough code reviews
- Identify and address technical debt, and propose improvement strategies
- Create user stories for production fixes, technical debt, and enhancements
Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years in a software development role
- Strong experience in Java (Spring) for backend and Angular for frontend development
- Ability to write secure, high-quality code
- Familiarity with security protocols like OAuth, and general authentication/authorization flows
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Experience with Kafka, Docker, or Kubernetes is a plus
