Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to design and deliver scalable, high-performance Data Platforms that meet the evolving needs of our business. You will be responsible for leading data architecture design, integration, and optimization across cloud environments while ensuring data governance, security, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Platform Architecture: Design and architect high-performing, scalable, and secure data platforms (Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Lakehouses) to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Data Modeling: Design and implement conceptual, logical, and physical data models to meet business requirements and adhere to data governance standards.
- Data Integration: Architect integration solutions for seamless data flow across diverse sources, including legacy and modern platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure).
- Cloud Data Platform Modernization: Lead migration strategies from on-premises databases (e.g., Informix) to cloud-native platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Presales Engagement: Work with business development teams to provide technical leadership during pre-sales engagements, guiding clients through data workshops and architecture discussions.
- Optimization & Performance Tuning: Continuously optimize data platform performance, ensuring scalability, cost efficiency, and meeting SLAs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and IT teams to ensure the alignment of architecture with business goals.
- Data Security & Governance: Design and enforce data governance frameworks, quality standards, and security policies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Technology Evaluation & Strategy: Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools to meet business and future scalability needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Data Modeling Expertise: Experience with data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) for scalable, high-performance data platforms.
- Cloud Data Platforms: Expertise in cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data solutions (Databricks, Snowflake).
- Big Data Architecture: In-depth understanding of architectural patterns in Big Data solutions.
- Proficient in managing both relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, CosmosDB).
- Expertise in designing ETL/ELT pipelines, automation, and integration across diverse systems.
- Proven experience leading cloud migration projects, including legacy to cloud transitions.
- Cloud Certifications: Certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP (preferable).
- Strong understanding of data security policies and governance best practices.
- Experience working in agile environments and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Experience combining data lake flexibility with data warehouse performance in lakehouse architectures.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 3 years in a Architect/SME role.
