Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Embedded Product Test Engineer with strong expertise in both manual and automation testing of electronic products with embedded firmware. The ideal candidate will have experience in Python programming and testing embedded systems using various communication protocols and lab instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for embedded electronic products.
- Perform functional, regression, and system testing of embedded systems.
- Identify, report, and track defects using standard defect tracking tools.
- Work with hardware tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, and simulators for product validation.
- Develop and execute automated test scripts using Python (with Object-Oriented Programming concepts).
- Test products with communication interfaces like Modbus, Ethernet, HART, Foundation Fieldbus, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain test reports and documentation.
Mandatory Skills:
- Hands-on experience in manual and automation testing of embedded electronics products.
- Strong experience in test case design, execution, and defect reporting.
- Proficient in Python programming (Object-Oriented Programming concepts).
- Experience in using lab instruments: oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, etc.
- Experience testing communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet, HART, Foundation Fieldbus, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a self-starter.
Good to Have:
- Domain knowledge or experience in Instrumentation or Industrial Automation product testing.
- Experience in unit testing C++ code using tools like LDRA or ParaSoft.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing practices.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, etc.
