Job Description
- As a Management Trainee, Sourcing at Genpact, your role involves creating requests for proposals (RFP) and reviewing bids to analyze costs between vendors for procuring the best products. You will be responsible for creating contract terms, negotiating terms, and implementing services. Your key responsibilities include: - Driving supplier performance and managing demand effectively - Increasing category compliance and contributing to overall priorities - Estimating and proposing initiatives to deliver savings within your area of responsibility - Identifying additional opportunities and ensuring sourcing category deliverables, savings commitments, milestones, and obligations are met - Liaising with coordinators and team members to resolve vendor disputes - Preparing management information system (MIS) reports and managing budget vs. actual spend with the finance team To excel in this role, you are required to possess a graduation degree in Science, Commerce, or Business. Relevant years of experience in Sourcing/Category Management in Manufacturing/BPO industries are essential. Additionally, the following qualifications are necessary: - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Proficiency in MS Office applications - Good understanding of indirect spend categories - Customer-centric focus - Analytical and presentation skills - Negotiation skills - Proactive attitude Preferred skills include knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or other legacy ERP applications, exposure to global suppliers, proficiency in RFI/RFP/RFQ management, and a basic understanding of spend analysis and contracts drafting.
