Job Title: Manager IPDRG Coding
Location: Hyderabad
Experience: 10 15 Years (minimum 4 years in IPDRG coding with 2+ years in leadership/managerial role)
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced IPDRG Coding Manager to lead and manage inpatient DRG coding team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in IPDRG coding guidelines, medical record review, DRG validation, and revenue cycle impact, along with proven people management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the IPDRG coding team ensuring high-quality and accurate coding.
- Ensure compliance with ICD-10-CM/PCS, DRG grouping, and payer-specific guidelines.
- Conduct regular coding audits to maintain accuracy, compliance, and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with clinical documentation improvement (CDI) teams to resolve DRG discrepancies.
- Monitor and report on productivity, accuracy, and turnaround time (TAT) of the team.
- Provide training, mentoring, and upskilling to team members.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and quality teams to ensure client satisfaction and compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the RCM coding function.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, DRG grouping, MS-DRG, APR-DRG.
- Hands-on experience in IPDRG coding and auditing.
- Familiarity with payer regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent team management, leadership, and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with ability to manage quality metrics and productivity targets.
Qualification:
- Graduate in any stream
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent coding certification preferred.
