Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Architect and evolve enterprise-grade automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing.
- Define and lead test strategy, planning, and execution across all projects and products assigned to your team.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide junior SDETs and engineers in automation best practices and technical growth.
- Participate in root cause analysis of test failures and production issues, driving resolution and prevention strategies.
- Establish and maintain quality metrics dashboards to track coverage, reliability, and test effectiveness across scope of influence and accountability.
- Review code for testability, maintainability, and adherence to quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in test coverage, reliability, and execution speed.
- Contribute to the development of test data management and environment provisioning strategies.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging tools to continuously enhance testing capabilities
Preferred candidate profile
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 68 years of experience in software development and test automation, with a strong engineering mindset.
- Advanced proficiency in C# or .NET Core with deep understanding of object-oriented design principles.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL.
- Advanced proficiency in AI acceleration tools like Copilot.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and build automation tools.
- Experience with performance and load testing strategies and tools.
- Advanced understanding of Agile methodologies and shift-left testing practices.
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments and containerization (e.g., Docker).
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead quality initiatives and influence engineering culture.
