Role: Senior AI-First UI Engineer
Location: Austin, TX (preferred for a few weekly in office sessions)
Timing: Immediate start, 3-6 month initial contract
Position Overview:
Abrigo is seeking a strong UI Engineer with proven experience in AI-first development
This role is critical to supporting several accelerated product delivery initiatives scheduled for Q4
The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of modern UI engineering, a solid grounding in full stack development, and a track record of leveraging AI-powered code generation tools to accelerate delivery Responsibilities:
Design, build, and optimize intuitive, scalable user interfaces for next-generation applications Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to ensure seamless integration across the stack Leverage AI-driven code generation tools (primary: Augment AI; secondary experience in Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code also valuable) to improve productivity and code quality Contribute to full stack development efforts, with the ability to understand and support backend workflows when needed Deliver on accelerated timelines, maintaining high quality and performance standards Qualifications and Skills:
Strong professional experience as a UI/Front-End Engineer with exposure to full stack development Demonstrated experience in AI-assisted development workflows (Augment AI, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (Vue 3, Vuedot js, or similar) and a strong grasp of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS Familiarity with backend technologies and APIs (Nodedot js, Python, or similar) Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills Ability to thrive in fast-paced, accelerated delivery environments Experience
