Job Description
This role focuses on developing and maintaining serverless applications leveraging AWS Lambda with Node.js as the primary runtime. The successful candidate will design, build, and deploy high-performing and scalable solutions on the AWS cloud platform.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda and Node.js.
Implement and optimize AWS Lambda functions for backend processes.
Integrate and manage AWS services, including but not limited to API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Step Functions, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3.
Create and maintain RESTful APIs to support various functionalities.
Ensure application performance, scalability, and security through best practices and efficient code.
Write clean, reusable, and testable code following established best practices (e.g., modularization, reusable components).
Implement unit and integration tests using frameworks like Jest or Mocha.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including architects, DevOps engineers, and front-end developers, to define, design, and deliver solutions.
Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting.
Qualifications
Proven experience (e.g., 5+ years) in Node.js development.
Hands-on experience (e.g., 5+ years) with AWS Lambda and serverless architectures.
Expertise with relevant AWS services: API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and potentially others like Step Functions.
Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development, along with JSON and asynchronous programming patterns.
Familiarity with IaC tools such as Serverless Framework, SAM, or Terraform.
Solid understanding of security best practices in AWS (e.g., IAM roles, least privilege).
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
