Your impact:
We are part of OpenText Cybersecurity Enterprise division specializing in Security Domain. Our product helps security operations teams to efficiently and effectively preempt and respond to threats that matter with proactive threat hunting, real-time threat detection, and response automation
We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, hands-on Senior Engineering manager who can lead and develop a team of software engineers. The teams will be developing and managing products in the emerging Cybersecurity and Predictive Analytics areas.You will be expected to manage the dynamics of the fast paced environment, multitude of technology.
What the role offers:
- Leverage your technical acumen, aptitude and innovative mindset to oversee & coach the team on building enterprise software, follow effective agile practices and monitor efficiency of the systems/process in the entire software development and supply chain.
- Guide and coach first line managers and senior technical members in the domain/product in ensuring successful and timely project deliveries with sufficient risk mitigations.
- Strategic engagement with Product Management team and Customer facing teams to understand the product opportunities and influence the roadmaps.
- Handle customer escalations and provide swift actions and satisfactory experience to the customers.
- Create goals, facilitate cascade through first line management, provide clarity & priority of the same in line with organization goals.
- Develop & manage relationships through the organization to re-inforce culture of collaboration
- Keep abreast of latest technologies, best practice and apply relevant to the org,
- Opportunity to champion best practices, lead the change in adoption of new process / technology and take corrective actions where required.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelors degree and/or a Masters degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- 18+ years of experience in software development with at least 6 years as a people manager in enterprise application software development.
- 4+ years hands-on role in application development SOC/Security domain, object-oriented concepts and design, DevOps experience and exhibited good problem-solving skills.
- Understanding/Certifications in OS, Containers, SCRUM, Security domain
- Strong fundamentals in agile development methodologies and leading multiple teams simultaneously
- Strong leadership in project management providing the right balance of quality & time
- Excellent people leadership skills to mentor/coach the team, establish credibility, and provide longer term vision and motivation to the team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to conduct effective group/stakeholder meetings.
- Strong interpersonal strengths to understand the strength of the team, conflict management work towards excellence.
- Effective talent management within the group and setting up good hiring & training plans.
