Job Description
- As a Hardware/Integration Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for testing products in the Electrical - Residential/Commercial range of applications for Wiring Devices. Your key responsibilities will include: - Independently executing Hardware Product testing, including requirements management, writing test cases/test procedures, and development/verification & validation testing. - Utilizing analog and digital electronics knowledge for microcontroller based solutions, power supply, drivers, Thyristors, and Embedded products. - Conducting Hardware Testing, Functional testing, and Certification Testing. - Analyzing Testing performance data, yield calculations, Cp-Cpk calculations, and verifying designs using tools like LTSpice. - Ensuring compliance with EMI/EMC certification and environmental standards such as UL/FCC/RoHS/REACH. - Collaborating with local/global suppliers for prototype developments and external labs for testing. - Applying knowledge of PCB design guidelines for high voltage 120VAC, 277VAC, mixed voltage AC+DC & EMI/EMC. - Identifying cost-out opportunities for NPI or existing product portfolio through idea shaping, technical evaluation, verification, and implementation. - Ensuring Design Robustness through the application of DFSS tools, design analysis methods, and concept verification calculations to meet CTQs. - Collaborating with mechanical, layout, and firmware engineers to verify and validate designs up to certification and product launch. - Reporting and documentation in a timely manner, ISTQB certification is a plus. Qualifications: - B.E. (10+6 Years) in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering. - 3+ years of experience in Electronics Design and Development. Skills: - Experience in Hardware Testing, Developmental functional testing, UL validation testing, PLS. - Proficiency in CAD tools, Programming tools necessary for enabling Electronics Hardware Testing. - Hands-on Experience of verification & validation of High voltage/mixed voltage products. - Excellent communication skills to convey technical details/products functionality to internal staff/peers and stakeholders. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, innovative thinking, and process improvement capabilities.,
