Job Description
- As a Data Analytics III (Big Data) in the Marketing Analytics team at Expedia Group, your role is crucial in automating and extracting trends from channel performance datasets. You will be responsible for transforming these trends into data products, performance insights, and actionable strategies that enhance our channel performance. Your analytical skills and deep data knowledge will enable you to provide valuable recommendations and narratives to improve channel operations. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct data analysis and provide insights on attribution and channel operations data to support stakeholders and explain performance trends clearly. - Develop and deliver self-service analytics products for various stakeholders to simplify the transformation of data trends into commercial insights. - Investigate data quality issues using logical thinking and root-cause analysis to differentiate changes in customer behavior from data quality concerns. - Manage projects effectively by balancing long-term roadmap deliverables with ad-hoc investigations and anticipating support requests proactively. - Collaborate with Channel Teams, Finance, and Data Engineering to act as a mediator between channel measurement data and teams relying on them for commercial performance insights. Qualifications: - Bachelor's, Masters, or PhD in Mathematics, Science, Statistics, Economics, or equivalent professional experience. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar analytical role. - Proficiency in SQL and demonstrated experience in using PySpark/Python for structuring, transforming, and visualizing big data. - Strong logical thinking skills to derive insights from complex datasets. - Experience in designing, delivering, and maintaining data visualizations using tools like Tableau and Power BI. - Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner with other disciplines to deliver projects effectively.
