JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Requirements
You Will:
o Cover 7x24x365 as part of a shift rota
o Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for server infrastructure
o Assist other teams with infrastructure issues
o Proactively manage and administer server environments; analyse customer requirements, gather and analyse data, recommending solutions
o Assist with implementation and testing of DR solutions for new and existing customers
o Conduct and report root cause and problem investigation for infrastructure and application issues to senior management
o Review and implement security recommendations
o Investigate and report security breaches
o Product / update support documentation
o Undertake knowledge transfer to internal operation teams
o Provide technical support as requested
We would like you to have:
o Wide depth of knowledge and experience working with several Windows server technologies
o An ability to manage complex and large scale technical solutions
o Extensive operational experience in deploying and managing Microsoft solutions
o Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
o An ability to deal with sensitive customer issues
o An ability to provide technical input into bid, project and technical documents
o An ability to manage time and multi-task effectively.
o An existing Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent
Essential Skills:
o Microsoft Windows Server (2008, 2012 and 2016)
o Active Directory
o Exchange Server (2010, 2013 and 2016)
o Office 365
o VMware ESXi 5.5/6.0
o Windows and hardware clustering technologies
o Security products (such as anti-virus, firewall etc)
o Backup solutions (i.e. VEEAM, Backup Exec etc)
