Job Description
- As a Senior Quality Engineer at NTT DATA, your role involves maintaining an automation-first mindset and approach. You will be the primary point of contact for the Quality Engineering (QE) team and responsible for all QE deliverables. Your responsibilities will include enforcing testing best practices, guiding the team to follow standards, identifying opportunities for automation, designing and developing test automation frameworks, and customizing them based on project needs. You will also need to understand and follow business requirements, define test strategies, guide QEs on test plans, tools, and automation scripting needs, as well as mentor team members on Scrum and Agile frameworks. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain an automation-first mindset and approach - Be the primary point of contact for the QE team and responsible for all QE deliverables - Enforce testing best practices and guide the team to follow standards - Identify opportunities for automation and enforce the Automation First, Contract First approach - Design and develop test automation frameworks, customize them based on project needs - Understand and follow business requirements, define test strategies, guide QEs on test plans, tools, and automation scripting needs - Mentor team members on Scrum and Agile frameworks - Assist in the implementation of test management tools within the team - Generate and publish test execution & bug reports, testing metrics, trends, etc. - Lead internal team meetings, drive communication with clients, and actively participate in client meetings - Manage and perform load and stress tests using enterprise-level test automation tools - Lead, maintain, and manage physical, virtualized, and simulated test environments Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of experience in designing and developing test automation frameworks using tools like Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, or Java - Hands-on experience in software testing and writing test automation code in at least one programming language like Java - Experience in developing and executing test scripts for REST or SOAP based APIs - Experience in writing and guiding teams on complex end-to-end test automation - Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, HP ALM, etc. - Experience in driving the team to implement automated test suites for all testing types - Hands-on experience in writing and executing complex SQL queries - Experience in version control concepts and tools - Experience in performance testing tools and CI/CD pipeline implementation - Understanding of Gen AI tools and leveraging Gen AI in quality engineering space - Language requirement: English About NTT DATA: NTT DATA is a trusted global innovator of business and technology services, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
