Job Description
- As an Electronics and Fiber Optics Product Development Engineer at our company, your primary responsibilities will include: - Conducting Fiber Optics sensor development for various applications such as Perimeter Intrusion Detection System Designs - Performing Fiber optic electronic product design and developmental activities - Executing Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) system development - Collecting and analyzing data for different field events - Pre-processing data and conducting event analysis - Identifying and preparing Geotagging for sensor locations based on distance - Developing Fiber Bragg grating-based sensors and solutions - Researching new fiber-based product developments - Integrating software and interfaces - Designing, validating, and testing Graphical User Interface Design for various projects - Coordinating and implementing the integration of Third-party products - Demonstrating products in virtual and physical modes - Conducting site surveys and preparing project reports - Interacting with clients for feedback and training purposes - Creating technical documentation - Developing basic prototypes on various devices and collaborating with Design and Production departments for successful outcomes - Coordinating with OEM companies and system integrators for projects - Creating documentation and presentations for specific requirements - Preparing Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and Proposals for projects - Coordinating different teams for product developments and ensuring timely results - Traveling to project sites and client locations for demos, Proof of Concepts (POC), and deployments - Providing training and guidance to engineers and system integrators Qualifications required: - MTech in Optoelectronics and communication / Laser / Fiber optics or related branches - BTech in Electronics and communication / Telecommunication / Instrumentation or related branches - 2 to 4 years of experience in Electronics and Fiber optics product development or related field - Experience in working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality - Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills - Ability to predict challenges and proactively head off obstacles Essential Skills: - Working knowledge of fiber optic cables and passive optical components - Mach-Zender and Sagnac-based fiber optic interferometric sensor design - Knowledge in Lasers and Photodetectors - Phase-OTDR based Distributed Acoustic Sensing - Fiber Optic Passive components testing and utilization in sensor designs - Strain, vibration, and Temperature data interpretation and analysis using different tools - Electronics circuit design and understanding of schematics - Experience with OSA, Splicing Machine, OTDR, Optical Power Meter, DSO - MATLAB, Python, Labview, Embedded C - Ability to prepare Engineering documents and technical reports in the English language - Good oral and written communication skills - Knowledge of Machine learning models and data analysis - Preparing the BOM - End-to-end project execution, Client coordination Desired Skills: - Knowledge of Database and MySQL - AWS and Docker integration - Machine learning and data analysis - Comfortable with Git, Docker-based software development - Preferable experience in cloud services like AWS/Azure,
