Job description
As a Bigdata developer, you will be responsible for strategic and tactical level activities associated with implementing and executing projects in Big Data environment. This role is for a hands-on big data analyst to support the business and work closely with business and technology team to provide scalable and robust big data solutions.
What is expected from me on a day-to-day basis if I join Merilytics?
1. Develop solutions for online data extraction, data integration and data management using Big Data technologies
2. Develop and maintain high-performance, scalable utilities to support technology research and data transformation using ETL tools and interfacing with Big Data eco system
3. Work with Java developers for designing scalable supportable infrastructure
What are the pre-requisites and skillsets required to apply for this role?
1. Should be a fast learner and be flexible to adopt and implement new technologies
2. 1 - 5 years of working experience in any one of the Big Data technologies and Hadoop distributions -Apache Project, Cloudera, MapR or HortonWorks.
3. Development experience in Java is a must
4. Development experience in MapReduce2, Pig, Hive is a must.
5. Development experience in any of the NoSQL databases - Hbase, Casssandra, CouchDB, MongoDB .
6. Development experience in design, implementation and deployment of any ETL tool to load data into Hadoop/NoSQL environment.
7. Should have exposure to UNIX / Linux programming language 8. Should have good communication and interpersonal skills.
