Role: Language Translator
Job Summary:
The Arabic Language Translator will facilitate effective communication between Arabic-speaking patients and hospital staff. The role ensures accurate interpretation during consultations, admissions, billing, and discharge, while maintaining cultural sensitivity and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time interpretation between doctors, nurses, and Arabic-speaking patients during OPD, IPD, and emergency consultations.
- Assist patients and their attendants in understanding hospital policies, treatment plans, consent forms, discharge summaries, and billing details.
- Translate medical records, prescriptions, and reports from Arabic to English/Hindi and vice versa.
- Accompany Arabic-speaking patients through the admission, diagnostic, treatment, and discharge process to ensure smooth experience.
- Coordinate with International Patient Services team for documentation, financial estimates, and package clarifications.
- Support patient relations team in resolving queries and grievances of Arabic-speaking patients.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient data and ensure professional conduct at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Arabic Language, Translation, or related field.
- Fluency in Arabic (reading, writing, speaking) with proficiency in English/Hindi.
- Minimum 13 years of experience as an interpreter/translator, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setup.
- Knowledge of medical terms and healthcare processes preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with cultural sensitivity and empathy.
