Job Description
- As the Deputy Manager ETS (Tool Room) at Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation, a unit of Schneider Electric India Pvt. Ltd., your primary responsibilities will include: - Responsible for all CAM related activities of tool manufacturing - Decision-making on optimized machining processes in consultation with the planning department to deliver quality output within specified timeframes and costs - Providing VMC programs for parts of the tool within prescribed time limits - Performing electrode extraction, electrode programming, and providing SEDM layout - Providing all relevant information required for WEDM machining and inspection - Involvement in all improvement initiatives to achieve continuous improvement Functional Competencies: - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models - Strong knowledge and experience with Hyper Mill CAM software, CREO, and Vericut - In-depth understanding of 3-axis VMC, Wire EDM, and Spark EDM machines - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues - Ability to optimize tool paths and improve production cycle time - Experience with tooling selection and evaluation to improve tool life and reduce costs - Familiarity with CNC machine shop operations and production processes - Knowledge of GD&T, Limit, Fits & Tolerances, and industry standards and best practices Behavioural Competencies: - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams - Strong organizational and time-management skills - Self-motivated and able to work independently - Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have: - Educational Qualification: B.E/ B.Tech (CAD/CAM) - Critical Skills Required: Material Cutting Technology About Our Company: Schneider Electric is a global company that values Inclusion, Mastery, Purpose, Action, Curiosity, and Teamwork.
