Job Description
- As a Software Engineer at Brightly, a Siemens company, you will be responsible for building innovative and performant features into next-generation software applications. Your role will involve applying deep knowledge of computer science and programming principles to develop and implement libraries and frameworks that allow effective scaling of development across multiple projects. You will work in an agile product lifecycle environment, ensuring quality in all aspects of the development process. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build innovative and performant features into next-generation software applications - Develop and implement libraries and frameworks for effective scaling of development - Write clear and maintainable full-stack code, adhering to existing standards - Support products, identify and fix root causes of production incidents - Demonstrate data-driven analysis and pragmatic decision-making aligned with business and technology needs - Collaborate in the product lifecycle with senior engineers, development managers, and product managers in an agile environment - Stay current with the latest technology trends - Own product quality and work to quickly address production defects - Embed a DevOps mentality within the team **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelors in computer science or related discipline; or equivalent work experience - 2-3 years of work experience - 2+ years web-based enterprise applications using JavaScript frameworks - 2+ years REST services, SOA, micro-services - 2+ years unit testing, mocking frameworks, test automation frameworks - Good understanding of data structures and algorithms, object-oriented programming, databases, SQL, web programming, design patterns, SOLID principles - Experience in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) - Strong communication, partnership, teamwork skills required **Technologies:** - JavaScript/Typescript - Vue, Vuex, Vuetify - Unit Testing frameworks like Jest/Mocha - Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift - Version Control Systems like Git/SVN - Package managers like npm/yarn - Module bundlers like webpack, gulp, etc. In addition to the technical qualifications, exposure to cloud technology stacks like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, open-source contributions, certifications in technology, and experience with other MV* based frameworks like Angular, React will be considered as bonus points.
