Job Description
- As a skilled and expert Senior Applications Mechanical Designer at Siemens Energy Industrial Turbomachinery India Private Limited, Gas Services division, your role will involve supporting innovative solutions by replacing obsolete auxiliary equipment on industrial gas turbines. This will ensure the continued reliability and efficiency of the products. You will engage in various tasks, such as crafting innovative design solutions, refining 3D CAD designs using Siemens NX software, and collaborating with multi-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of designs to projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Apply the latest systems and technologies to improve the performance and reliability of gas turbine package auxiliary equipment. - Collaborate with internal departments, regional divisions, suppliers, and customers to ensure project upgrades are within allocated budgets and timescales. - Document solutions for consistent application across projects. - Provide technical recommendations to support future upgrades. - Identify and source replacements for components and systems to maintain equipment functionality. - Implement package upgrades to enhance the overall product lifecycle. - Generate and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software. - Generate and maintain engineering documentation such as engineering drawings, design calculations, purchase specifications, and technical reports. Qualifications required for this role include an HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in a related engineering field, with 10+ years of experience in a design and 3D CAD role. Proficiency in 3D CAD software is essential, and knowledge of PLM software would be advantageous. You should have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, solve engineering challenges independently, and possess a proactive and positive attitude with attention to detail.
