Job Title: Kubernetes Specialist
Location: Bangalore, IN
Job Type: Long Term Contract (12+ Months)
Mandatory Skillsets: Kubernetes, OpenRAN, CI/CD, Python, Go, or Bash
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes-based 5G systems with a focus on automation, scalability, and high availability.
- Continuous Integration & Deployment (CI/CD): Develop CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment of 5G components, including OpenRAN, Network Management Systems (NMS), and cloud-native 5G core elements.
- Monitoring & Logging: Implement monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus) and logging (ELK stack, Fluentd) solutions to ensure visibility and real-time health status of the 5G network infrastructure.
- System Scaling & Optimization: Support adaptive scheduling mechanisms (e.g., MU-MIMO) for resource management, particularly in high-demand scenarios.
- Configuration & Automation: Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions (Terraform, Ansible) for consistent deployments and manage system configurations across diverse 5G environments.
- Security Compliance: Implement security best practices, conduct regular system audits, and manage compliance with regulatory requirements, especially in relation to Spectrum Access System (SAS).
- Network Management Support: Work with NMS dashboards to ensure seamless integration and provide visibility into system alarms, log collection, and network performance metrics.
- Collaborative Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop custom solutions for log management, RRU hot-plugging, core isolation, and other unique requirements in 5G infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE with at least 3 years focused on Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes internals (control plane, scheduling, networking, storage).
- Hands-on with Helm, Kustomize, Operators, and GitOps workflows.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible), and cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with container security, RBAC, OPA, and network policies.
- Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Go, or Bash.
- Experience in troubleshooting distributed systems, networking, and performance bottlenecks.
Preferred Qualifications
- CKA/CKAD/CKS certification or equivalent.
- Experience with multi-cluster and hybrid Kubernetes deployments.
- Background in telecom, 5G, or mission-critical workloads is preferred.
- Knowledge of edge computing and microservices architecture.
