Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior DevOps Engineer Azure Specialist to join our engineering team. This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and a strong background in infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and cloud-native solutions. You will work closely with development, QA, and IT teams to streamline Azure deployments, enhance scalability, and improve system reliability in a cloud-first environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Azure-native CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps (ADO) for various environments (Dev, QA, Staging, Prod)
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, Terraform, or Ansible
- Manage and optimize containerized workloads using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Docker
- Implement robust monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and integrate with tools like Grafana or ELK if needed
- Apply security best practices across Azure infrastructure and deployment pipelines, including role-based access control (RBAC), Key Vault, and Azure Policies
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance performance and scalability of applications running on Azure
- Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans using Azure Site Recovery, Backup, and other resilience services
- Champion DevOps best practices and drive continuous improvement within the Azure ecosystem
- Troubleshoot production issues in Azure environments and perform root cause analysis
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and foster a culture of learning and automation.
- Experience in building/testing AI applications or leveraging Azure AI/ML services (e.g., Azure ML, Cognitive Services) is a plus
Technical Skills:
- 5 8 years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles
- Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (this is a must-have)
- Proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep within Azure
- Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines (classic and YAML), GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools
- Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
- Scripting proficiency (PowerShell, Bash, or Python preferred)
- Strong familiarity with Azure networking, NSGs, VNETs, Azure Firewall, and other network configurations
- Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting in Azure
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in cloud-native systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
