Job Description
- Role Overview: PhonePe Limited is looking for a Chartered Accountant with 7-12 years of experience in US GAAP / Ind AS reporting to lead the monthly and quarterly financial close process. As a part of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality financial reporting, managing GAAP adjustments, supporting consolidation system implementation, and delivering insightful financial presentations to management and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the end-to-end monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate accounting of all transactions. - Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly variance reports, conducting root cause analysis for significant movements in P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. - Identify and book US GAAP to local GAAP adjustments, maintain proper documentation and reconciliation of cumulative GAAP differences. - Play a key role in the implementation of a group consolidation system, establish data governance processes. - Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, review reconciliation dashboards, and ensure timely resolution of open items. - Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements, ensuring disclosures align with regulatory and group requirements. Qualification Required: - Chartered Accountant - 7-12 years of experience in US GAAP / Ind AS reporting, preferably in a listed environment. - Hands-on experience with financial close, consolidation systems, and accounting analytics. - Familiarity with consolidation tools (e.g., HFM, Oracle FCCS). - Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting frameworks. - Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders. - Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
