Job Description
- As a Deputy Manager Customer Service / Pricing in the logistics and freight industry based in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, your role will involve handling pricing, vendor negotiations, and customer coordination for both ocean and air freight shipments. Key Responsibilities: - Negotiate competitive rates with shipping lines, transporters, and vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness. - Compare rates and secure the best pricing to enhance profitability. - Provide quick and accurate quotations to customers for their shipments. - Assist clients in selecting suitable equipment and estimating container needs. - Implement cost reduction strategies for ocean freight and land-side operations. - Provide daily shipment status updates to customers for transparency. - Manage key accounts effectively to ensure smooth shipment handling. - Maintain strong communication with clients, vendors, and overseas partners to foster good relationships. - Resolve issues promptly and proactively to prevent escalation. - Maintain accurate job and cost details in CargoWise software for efficient operations. - Share operation notes with accounts department for smooth job closure. - Prepare and submit MIS reports to management for decision-making purposes. Qualifications Required: - Graduate in any discipline, preferably with an MBA. - 5-10 years of experience in logistics and freight forwarding. - Strong knowledge of ocean and air freight operations. - Good negotiation, communication, and coordination skills. - Experience with CargoWise is advantageous.
