Devops Engineer @ e Zest

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and QA teams and lead the automation of builds and deployments.
• Design, build, and maintain a continuous deployment pipeline, integrating GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, ECS, Lambda, Docker into a variety of infrastructure combinations.
• Using IaC tools (Terraform), build and maintain an automated process for provisioning and de-provisioning AWS infrastructure.
• Monitor active systems with Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK/Prometheus, create incident alerts, and lead the handling of incidents.
• Build and maintain system status reports.
• Ensure team collaboration using Jira, Confluence, and other tools.
• Analyze usage of existing systems and create a plan for upgrading/downgrading infrastructure to meet requirements and control costs.

Technical Skills (Updated)

• Cloud & AWS:
• Strong expertise with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, ECS).
• Expert in using AWS toolkits and cloud application design patterns.
• CI/CD & Automation: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes.
• IaC: Terraform (provisioning & automation).
• Monitoring & Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, CloudWatch.
• Programming/Scripting: Shell, Python, Node.js.
• GenAI & IDEs: Familiarity with AI-powered IDEs (Amazon Q, Cursor) and basic understanding of Generative AI applications in DevOps workflows.
• Servers & Admin: Apache web server config/admin, Linux administration, networking.
• Database: Relational Database administration (helpful experience).
