Job Description
Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Solution Architect with deep expertise in Data Warehousing, ETL design, and AWS Cloud architecture. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in designing scalable, high-performance data solutions that drive business insights. You will play a pivotal role in defining architecture standards, guiding development teams, and aligning data initiatives with strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Design end-to-end data architectures on cloud (primarily AWS) to support analytics, reporting, and operational needs.
Lead the architecture and design of large-scale data warehousing solutions including data lakes and lakehouses.
Define and implement ETL/ELT strategies, frameworks, and best practices.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, analysts, and developers to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
Develop and maintain architectural artifacts including design documents, data flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, and performance standards.
Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and frameworks in the data ecosystem.
Provide mentorship and technical leadership to development teams.
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and governance policies.
Support data integration from structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
Core Skills & Qualifications:
10+ years of overall experience in data engineering, architecture, or related roles.
Proven experience in designing and implementing data warehouses (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.).
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT tools and processes experience with tools like Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica, or custom pipelines using Python/SQL.
Expertise in AWS Cloud Services:
Core services: S3, Lambda, EC2, RDS, CloudFormation
Data services: Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, Kinesis
Security & monitoring: IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, etc.
Strong knowledge of data modeling, data governance, and metadata management.
Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and data transformation pipelines.
Solid understanding of data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD for data platforms is a plus.
Usage of AI for solutions.
Should be very proficient in communication.
