Job Description
- Role Overview: You will be responsible for selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques, data mining using state-of-the-art methods, enhancing data collection procedures, processing, cleansing, and verifying data integrity, performing ad-hoc analysis, creating automated anomaly detection systems, leading project meetings, managing multiple development designs, providing customer training, participating in internal projects, and having hands-on experience with data models and data warehousing technologies. You must be organized, analytical, have excellent communication skills, and be proficient in using query languages. Key Responsibilities: - Select features, build and optimize classifiers using machine learning techniques - Perform data mining using state-of-the-art methods - Enhance data collection procedures and ensure data integrity - Process, cleanse, and verify data for analysis - Conduct ad-hoc analysis and present results clearly - Create automated anomaly detection systems - Lead project meetings and manage multiple development designs - Provide customer training and participate in internal projects - Have hands-on experience with data models and data warehousing technologies - Possess good communication skills and proficiency in using query languages Qualifications Required: - Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms - Experience with common data science toolkits such as R, Weka, NumPy, MatLab - Experience in SAS, Oracle Advanced Analytics, SPSS will be an advantage - Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, Hive, Pig - Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase will be an advantage - Good applied statistics skills and scripting/programming skills - Bachelor/Master in Statistics/Economics or MBA desirable - BE/BTech/MTech with 2-4 years of experience in data science Additional Details: The company values skills such as communication, coaching, building relationships, client service passion, curiosity, teamwork, courage, integrity, technical expertise, openness to change, and adaptability.
