Job Description
- As a Staff Engineer - QA Automation at Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN), you will be responsible for creating and leading the quality engineering & automation framework for the SonyLIV platform. With over 10 years of overall experience and a B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of Web and Mobile applications, focusing on OTT applications. Your expertise in designing, scripting, and running test automation platforms such as Appium, Selenium, Cucumber (BDD), and Robot Framework will be essential. Proficiency in Java/Python programming skills is a must as you develop and execute automated API/UI/Unit tests to enable continuous delivery. Your responsibilities will include ensuring technically sound test case design and execution methodologies, working with CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, and BitBucket for automation, and developing automation dashboards and reports using tools like Allure or Extent Reports. Moreover, you will be responsible for designing and implementing quality processes and metrics for applications across platforms, including Android, iOS, web browsers, Smart TVs, and Android/Apple TV. Your critical competencies for success involve being a good team player and leader, possessing strategic thinking balanced with attention to detail, and demonstrating a passion for results and excellence. Your technical skills should include hands-on knowledge of Web Technologies, Web Services, and APIs Gateways for mobile apps, experience in testing and automating OTT-based applications, and a strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle. To excel in this role, you must exhibit personal traits such as straightforwardness, professionalism, high energy, and a positive outlook. Your ability to develop creative solutions, anticipate risks, and provide honest opinions professionally will be key to establishing quality relationships across the organization.
