Senior Software Engineer @ Infinite

Job Description

• Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather reporting and visualization requirements.
• Design, develop, and publish interactive and user-friendly Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets.
• Transform raw data into meaningful visualizations using Power Query (M), DAX, and Power BI visuals.
• Build and optimize data models for performance and usability.
• Connect Power BI to various data sources including SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, and cloud-based sources like Azure.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in reports.
• Maintain version control, report documentation, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with data engineers and database administrators on data pipeline and warehouse requirements.
• Support ad-hoc analysis and develop self-service BI solutions for business users.
• Monitor usage, troubleshooting issues, and manage user access.

• Hands-on experience in Power BI report development.
• Strong experience with DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
• Proficient in SQL for querying and data transformation.
• Experience integrating Power BI with various data sources (SQL, Azure, Excel, APIs).
• Solid understanding of data visualization principles and UI/UX design.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Experience with Power BI Service (workspaces, apps, security roles).
• Knowledge of Azure Data Services (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake).
• Exposure to other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik) is advantageous.
