Job Description
- As a Senior Scientist specializing in Process Modeling and Hybrid Modelling within the Manufacturing Intelligence (MI) team of Pfizer's Global Technology & Engineering (GT&E), your role will involve the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions such as AI/ML, soft sensor, advanced process control, and process condition monitoring in support of manufacturing operations at Pfizer Global Supply (PGS). **Responsibilities:** - Make technical contributions to high-impact projects requiring expertise in data analytics, advanced modeling, and optimization. - Identify valuable opportunities for applying Advanced Analytics, Advanced Process Control (APC), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) in manufacturing settings. - Develop mathematical and machine learning models and assist in the GMP implementation of analytics solutions. - Utilize engineering principles and modeling tools to improve process understanding and enable real-time process monitoring and control. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate progress effectively to management, and drive project advancement. **Basic Qualifications:** - Preferably a B. Tech in computer science. - Must possess expert-level knowledge in Python; familiarity with R, Matlab, or JavaScript is a plus. - Proficiency in performing data engineering on large, real-world datasets. - Demonstrated experience in applying data science and machine learning methodologies to drive insights and decision-making. - Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Knowledge of Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing processes and experience in technical storytelling. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Expertise in first principles such as thermodynamics, reaction modeling, and hybrid modeling. - Experience with Interpretable Machine Learning or Explainable AI and familiarity with Shapley values. - Proficiency in cloud-based development environments like AWS SageMaker and data warehouses like Snowflake or Redshift. - Understanding of feedback control algorithms, real-time communication protocols, and industrial automation platforms. - Experience in data visualization tools like Streamlit, Plotly, or Spotfire. - Knowledge of Cell Culture, Fermentation, and Vaccines Conjugation. This role offers a flexible work location assignment, including the option to work remotely.
