Job Description
Position Title: HVAC Manager 5 GW Solar Cell Manufacturing Plant
Location: Jewar, Greater Noida
Reports To: Project & Utility Head
Job Summary:
The HVAC Manager will be responsible for the design, operation, and maintenance of all HVAC systems in the solar cell manufacturing plant, covering cleanrooms, process tool cooling, utility HVAC, and comfort air conditioning. The role ensures world-class reliability, energy efficiency, and environmental compliance while maintaining stringent cleanroom and process standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
- Ensure uninterrupted HVAC services to cleanrooms, process tools, warehouses, utilities, and office areas.
- Manage operation and maintenance of AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, ventilation & exhaust systems, ducting, and filtration systems.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14644 cleanroom classification and indoor air quality standards.
- Implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules via CMMS to maintain >99.9% uptime.
Team Leadership
- Lead a team of HVAC engineers, technicians, and contractors.
- Define KPIs for system performance, energy efficiency, and downtime.
- Provide regular training, driving a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Performance Monitoring
- Monitor temperature, humidity, differential pressure, and particle count across cleanroom zones.
- Track chilled water consumption, filter replacement cycles, and HVAC system energy efficiency.
- Lead initiatives for energy savings and cooling efficiency optimization.
- Conduct RCA & CAPA for HVAC-related failures or process deviations.
Project Management
- Oversee design, installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems for the greenfield facility.
- Review duct layouts, AHU configurations, chiller/CT sizing, and BMS integration.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, OEMs, consultants, and process teams for on-time execution.
- Ensure statutory clearances and compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Stakeholder Communication
- Collaborate with process, production, mechanical, electrical, and EHS teams to ensure HVAC reliability.
- Prepare and present dashboards on HVAC performance, cleanroom compliance, and energy usage.
- Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and certification agencies.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferred specialization in HVAC/Thermal Engineering).
- Certifications in Cleanroom HVAC, Energy Management, or BMS operations will be an advantage.
Experience
- 1220 years in HVAC operations, preferably in semiconductor, solar cell, display, or other high-tech cleanroom industries.
Behavioral Skills

- Expertise in structured problem-solving tools (FMEA, RCA, Fishbone).
