Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Prepare HVAC drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings.
- HVAC System Design and Engineering of pharmaceuticals and hospitals.
- Interpret HVAC design plans and specifications from mechanical engineers or consultants.
- Perform heating/cooling load calculations and prepare detailed HVAC designs.
- Develop duct layouts, piping layouts, and schematic diagrams using AutoCAD/Revit.
- Select appropriate HVAC equipment (Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF/VRV systems, Pumps, Exhaust Fans, etc.) based on project requirements.
- Create and update HVAC system layouts, ducting, piping, and equipment placement using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software.
- Coordinate with other MEP disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure efficient space utilization.
- Revise drawings based on comments from engineers, architects, or site conditions.
- Maintain drawing logs and ensure drawings comply with company and project standards.
- Conduct site visits (if required) to gather measurements or confirm installations.
- Assist in generating bill of materials (BOM) and quantity take-offs.
- Work closely with the project team to ensure timely delivery of drawings and design modifications
Preferred candidate profile
- Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles and system selection.
- HVAC Design & Engineering for various pharma, Hospitals, API & biotech projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Previous experience in HVAC construction or contracting firms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
